No worries bub. Like I said, we're all rooting for the same team here, we just have different opinions on how to get to our destination.

But really, I wouldn't be too worried about bandwagon Herm fans. There aren't enough to do any harm... Herm is disliked enough that there likely wouldn't be a swing in fan approval until he wins a Superbowl or two... and that's not very likely. I like the direction Herm is taking the team. And despite what you might think, I'm not convinced he can be a consistently good coach. But IMO, he provides this team with the most potential at this point in time. I'm not trying to argue that he's a great X's/O's guy, or a stellar game manager, because he's not. At all. He's a bonehead most the time on gameday. But I don't think that's the priority of the franchise right now. I'm looking down the road and how we need to get there. We need a good foundation built. We need an identity. We need something to build on. I think he can give us that. And at the least, he'll have a damn good roster to pass on to the next coach. And we'll let the next coach worry about actually "coaching" us to the promised land once the team is in position to do so. If we can use Herm to build the team, and then dump him and bring in a "chessmaster" coach when the team is ready for it, then so be it. Glean all the worthy attributes, dump his flustrated ass and take the next step.

Anyway, that's where I stand....

Not true. Frankly, if he didn't care, he would fire Herm and know that he would sell more tickets regardless of who he hired.

I really don't care if they fire Herm right now or not.

He just needs to be fired by the time this team has rebuilt enough to have a substantial shot at really doing something.

If this team does grow into a contender we will need a coach who can manage the clock etc. etc. etc.

That is my feeling right now as well unless he proves otherwise. I think most Herm "lovers" feel that way too. Glad to have you on board.

I guess, He has never really ever put anything together that would have s substantial shot at going anywhere... Herm has a plateau, its not very high, somewhere around 7-9... Based on his record over the last 7 years.

IF this team and franchise is serious about winning, they will replace him in 2009, no later than 2010.... IF they keep him around, then winning is not important. Herms little 3 week change is not enough for me to "buy" into what Herm is selling...

All it takes is the other teams coach to go all in, and Herm would fold his fullhouse of Aces over Kings....
