She defeated weaker versions of all the same enemies.
This is also wrong, as I said Luke was the 1st we saw learning how to be a Jedi. It was unprecedented seeing force users and now it's a regurgitation if everyone can do the force then why couldn't a droid be a force user because they are part of the force. If someone is untalented then I want to see those obstacles and not "microwaved" for convenience. Sabine's great as a Mandolorian but this makes her OP because now she's going to be a Jedi AND a Mandolorian.

As I said the original was written for children, and those kids back then are adults now and they want to see depth and development of her training. We've seen The Chosen One and Chosen Son. It took Ezra 4 seasons to become a Jedi , it didn't just popup during the heat of battle and being proficient to boot like Sabine. Lea should've been the OP female Jedi, because this would've been universally accepted with off-screen training.

DJ's thought had me thinking what the plans for Baylon Skoll were, so I went looking. Unfortunately, I didn't find much.

But, here is a good list of actors that could fill the role pretty well, if not seamlessly in a few cases....

Give me Liam Cunningham....please?

I love that dude.

Periodically I'll describe some folks as "those hard sons of bitches".

Someone suggested Liev Schreiber when the series was going on and I loved that idea.

He has an imposing physical presence that too many of those guys don't have. That was really part of Skoll's gravitas - dude was just big. And from this big, growling voice came damn near Shakespearian wisdom and this calm deliberation that you wouldn't expect from this towering figure.

Cunningham just doesn't intimidate me. Most of the guys on that list don't.

I want someone in that role who would make me nervous simply being silent in the room. I think Schreiber is the guy there.

Baylan Skoll would be great.

I find myself torn on Star Wars EU. I WANT a series that focuses on Darth Plagueis the Wise.

I do NOT want another season run by the shitshow that was The Acolyte. Inconsistent, poorly written, and a waste of some cool core ideas.

Maybe they can work it into a Baylan Skoll origin series starring Liev Schriever, run by someone else, and everyone wins?

"Waste of cool core ideas" has essentially been the tagline of the entire Disney Star Wars era.

How. Just HOW did they screw up an Obi Wan story?

I just hate everyone involved in this process.

Fair. I'm a bit of a Schreiber fan too. I absolutely LOVED Ray Donovan. And him being that dude less Bahston accent would probably be better than Cunningham. I just want to see Cunningham in more shit.

Save Tony Gilroy, you're correct. Filoni and Favreau have put out some good stuff, but Mando is floundering a bit and Ahsoka (while I liked it) wasn't a critical success.

Gilroy is the infallible one in the room. Disney, I think, could learn a lot from what Gilroy got right. If they paid attention to the craft instead of trying to legislate success, they'd do a lot of good.
