Well, and I don't have an issue with winning ugly at this point in the season, part of the issue with winning really tight games is that there's usually a bit of luck involved. Hell, look at DEN last season when they went on their little winning streak. It took a bunch of really 'lucky' bounces for that to happen. For the Chiefs, one of those moments was the lucky bounce into a 49ers ankle on that punt coverage in the SB. That doesn't happen, the Chiefs don't win the SB. Or, if the SF kicker doesn't miss that XP . . . and/or whatever that last 'lucky' moment was. So while we can say, "but we beat the odds in 2023!" and yeah, I was all for it as it happened, we also know that you can't beat the odds forever. Even with Andy, Mahomes, Travis and Spags doing all their dark magic stuff. Sooner or later, the bounces won't bounce in our favor, that's just life. Better if the offense gets themselves sorted out and start producing like a SB contending team, so they don't have to rely on 'luck' so much, imo. But again, it's just Week 3. Lot of football left to play yet.

Oh, heck, I'm almost indifferent at this point. The chiefs have already won 2 more SBs than I needed in my lifetime. I'm just along for the ride at this point. And after 6 seasons with the Andy/Mahomes show, I just can't get that emotionally excited about the first 8 or so games of the season anymore. I mean, we know that they're going to start a little slow, the running game, particularly the short yardage running game, is going to look clunky at first. That the offense is going to look a little out of sync. That Pat is going to look a little off. But they always trend upwards around mid-season. Last season was a bit of an anomaly with the losing streak in the mid-part of the season, but they got sorted by the playoffs. I'd just rather not see that happen again. But I'm not going to get critical until they really screw it up and miss the playoffs or something equally stupid. Until something like that happens, I'm just waiting and watching to see exactly how they adjust/adapt.

Our offensive struggles the last 2 weeks have NOTHING to do with "schemes " or the "league figured us out". Mahomes mechanics are very OFF and he's just flat missing wide open guys and not making the right reads. This ship will be easy to right.
