Do We Really Want To Go Undefeated?

Can't wait to get crushed for this opinion, but it just feels like asking for an undefeated season while chasing a threepeat is bad juju... its asking for too much IMO

I'd much rather we lose a game or two just to keep everyone frosty, to remind them that yes they can be beaten if they're not playing their best ball... look no further than the Patriots undefeated season to see what can happen when a team sniffs too many of its own farts

I don't want to meet Detroit in the Super Bowl with our heads in the clouds

Maybe I'm just being superstitious, maybe not... what say you?

If we lock up the #1 seed, I feel pretty strongly that Andy is going to sit the starters.

People keep saying this like we can't beat the Broncos with our second team.

Could we? Yes. Should we take that risk if we're 16-0? Hell no. If you're 16-0 you do everything you can to get to 17-0. You don't need a Week 18 bye, you get one next week.

If this team is 16-0 the one thing Reid could do to absolutely **** this situation up would be to piss off the players by costing them a chance at perfection. He let Chris Jones play last year for a measely $1M incentive. He would have let Kelce play if he had wanted to. Reid isn't going to **** this up.

It's all academic because I don't think it is likely at all that we'll be in that scenario, but come ON.

Do we want to? I mean...hell yeah?

Do 2 things that have never been done in the same season? Yeah, that would be pretty awesome.

Only one has went undefeated…..

Make the chance of both happening in a season drive that competitiveness instead of fear and doubt!

I agree we should play starters, but I don't think he will. Maybe I'm wrong. I just also think it won't matter.

Yeah, I’d love to go undefeated. People still talk about the 72 Dolphins literally every year because they were the only ones to do it.

If it’s framed as an either or between undefeated regular season and a threepeat Super Bowl then I’d obviously take the threepeat, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be one or the other.

When the Patriots were going for 17-0 Belichick unapologetically said they are absolutely going to try for it. The contrast would be when the Colts were going for it and Jim Caldwell sabotaged the effort and demoralized his team. I'm thinking Andy is closer to Belichick on this and would use common sense.
