Year Two of the Matt Quatraro tenure. Time to take a step up this year. Active in free agency and trades this offseason. A new look pitching rotation and bullpen. The headline is funny but it's not as bad as it sounds. They essentially have a $148 mil payroll this year but that includes a ton of dead money from bad contracts and players that are injured or no longer with the team. They are only on the hook for $38 million next year. They could theoretically add $75 mil through free agency and still be way under what they spent this year.

Detroit series starts tonight. This is the BIG one, Detroit coming in hot. They've got Skubal scheduled for Tuesday, although we've hit him better than anyone this year.

Take 2 out of 3 and we're all but guaranteed a playoff spot at that point. 1 out of 3 and we're still fine. Just can't get swept. Any other result and we're good.

Better yet? How bout we sweep THEM!?!
