I always wrapped with, "shut up or make the kids smile. If you can't do that then leave."
I hate people sometimes.

This, I never made a scene out of throwing people out. I just pointed to the parking lot, said "Go to the parking lot. You've got 60 seconds or this game is a forfeit." It usually kills the behavior pretty quickly.
