2. Even for a juvenile that is one big fish (yes, I know it’s a mammal not a fish) and it surprises me how close to shore it gets. That’s some shallow water and it’s just kinda hanging out, checking out the odd creatures on the shore.

Orcas are really cool. They will crash the shore pretty hard for food. See the 1:00, 1:10 and 1:38 mark of this video for example. Of course after that they're rather ruthlessly playing with their food.

I gotta stop -- I could spend all day watching this stuff...
