I am fine if you don't agree with that. I think one of the recent things with beer now is people get too caught up in trying to define and catagorize every one as being a "this". Yes most beers have their roots as something but we are getting way past traditional brewing and aging methods now.
Edit: And no I am not trying to say there isnt a signifigant difference between a barley wine and a stout as far as types of beer go, I am just saying they are taking all kinds of beers and doing similar ageing processes now. Mainly with high gravity beers.
I like almost all styles of beer, some better than other depending on season.
