Nothing. It's just the way hunt seems to work. One school of thought is assurance... Knowing before you fire a guy, you know he has a replacement. The other is that hunt may have told pioli how much he is being neutered and playing hardball to negotiate a buyout. Given piolis ego, he's certain to cave and accept a payout versus staying in a completely neutered role.
Or maybe we can assume the worst.
Point being is, there is plenty of silver lining.
