I'm going to give hunt a chance on this. In his defense... Even though we hate to hear that business matters, cutting pioli is a very, very expensive decision. And pioli firing Haley, then hiring a hugely incompetent replacement painted him in a corner. I imagine hunt would have liked to have seen pioli finish off his contract. Now he's in a position where he has to extend piolis contract or take a huge haircut.
I dunno. I don't know hunt. All I know is that this year, his public appearances did not strike me as a guy who was happy with his team or pioli. I remember last year at the Haley firing presser, pioli looked like a dog with the tail between his legs.
