He literally possesses no value as a batter or a fielder (don't tell me about his arm or assists, since his limited range mitigates all of this), and he is owed a sizable amount of money next year.

I suppose if the Royals eat almost all of the salary, someone will pick him up, but that's about it. Also, there have been rumors (radio guys) about Frenchy previously being a pain in the ass in the clubhouse when he's not playing regularly.
