Belcher was actually at fault for a lot of the big plays to the tigt end in that game.

It wasn't due to physical limitations or anything, though.

He was just inexperienced and Baltimores running game made things increasedly difficult for him.

About every time they ran playaction, he took multiple false steps before recovering and by then, it was too late. He couldn't get proper depth in his drops because of this and it created a gap in the zone that Baltimore exploited.

Last year, he made strides in this category of his responsibility and that made it more difficult for tight ends to get open in that gap over the top of the backer and underneath the safety.

I bet when we at Baltimore this year it's not as big of a problem...even though their tight ends are actually better.
