I pretty much agree with this. While the outcome "mattering to someone" now does add some intrigue to the game I think it's a dumb way to decide homefield advantage for the WS when most of the players in the ASG won't even be in the WS. Billy Buter gets a game winning hit for the A.L. which in turn gives the Yankees home field? Puke. I'd rather the N.L. team get homefield than for one of ours to help the Yankees in any way. Or a Cubs player doing the same for the N.L. giving the Cardinals home field? I'm sure Cubs fans love that idea.
How about the team with the best record who's in the WS gets homefield advantage? Teams are tied?... go to tie breakers. It's just to logical to work I guess.
