I bet some of you are the same guys that, in fantasy football, try to trade 3 TEs for Aaron Rodgers. 
I’m okay trading him because 1) pitching is EVERYTHING in baseball, even more so in the playoffs (assuming we ever get there) 2) we’ve got enough offensive weapons to be able to compete 3) he is a corner outfielder, which is easier to replace than, say, a bad@ss 3rd baseman or SS. |
You don't get a good top end starting pitcher for one prospect no matter how legit. Remember how much we got for Grienke? It was a lot. We are much better off trading some expendable parts for a solid starter if we can. And where have you been to think we have enough offensive weapons? I know it seems like we "should" and with Perez and Cain back it should improve but right now we simply do not. Corner outfield defenders are a little easier to replace but not guys who rake like him.
