I am not talking best of the best. If you check out the list below there are plenty of proven solid major league pitchers that we can get this offseason without trading anything. Seriously guys, we do not need to trade anything and yet we can still greatly improve the rotation by getting one or two of these guys to come here next season. Perhaps get one of the better ones, eg, Cain, Greinke, A. Sanchez for a long term deal (3-5 years) and get another older and cheaper filler guy for a year or two eg, Lowe, Marcum to fill next seasons rotation until another younger guy is ready. This is would mimic a lot of what Washington did this past offseason and that has worked well for them. (except that had to do some trading).
