And why must Dayton Moore fix anything? Glass is making money and KC fans happily accept mediocrity.

It was from a Jeff Passan radio interview on Petro a few weeks back.
Boras' idea of a fair long-term contract was not in line with any baseball team's idea of a fair long-term contract for Jackson (he visited a lot of folks, but signed long-term with none of them).
Dayton Moore must fix anything because if they don't win next year, he likely is fired.
The FA pitching market for 2013 could not have come along at a better time for him (or the franchise).
Cole Hamels (not happening, but still the headliner)
Zack Greinke (still unlikely)
Dan Haren ($15 million team option)
Shaun Marcum (local guy, doable)
Edwin Jackson (doable)
Gavin Floyd ($9 million team option, otherwise doable)
Brandon McCarthy (very doable)
Anibal Sanchez (Doable, my favorite option. Offer him $15 million/per, and he's yours)
Ervin Santana (doable)
Joe Saunders (doable)
They showed with Greinke/Meche a willingness to spend on premium pitching. If they spend at that level in this FA market, that is likely enough to land a pretty nice pair of starting pitchers.
