Actually, it might have been Gathwright who said that, but it doesn't matter; he and Dyson are the same exact person.
If Dyson can consistently steal a bag whenever it's needed, I could understand him occupying a roster spot. And you're right about those games last year. Dude was electric off the bench on the bases. But there was a game earlier this year (maybe a week or so ago), and with Dyson on first, he had to steal second. Had to. No questions asked. Anyway, he didn't and couldn't.
Don't remember the game, but I pronounced his ML career over at that point. Unfortunately for Royals fans, I was wrong in a literal sense--we still have to watch his worthless ass--but I think in a practical sense that I was right.
