Whew. Big to bounce back and survive the pen blowing the lead.
Anytime you win a game Verlander starts, you feel like you've stolen a game. His performance in the 8th was incredible (though I'm not ashamed to admit I am rooting for Leyland's abuse of Verlander's arm to take its toll sooner rather than later).
Even though the outcome was not favorable, I like the move in letting Crow start the eighth. I'd much rather take my chances with Crow vs. Cabrera than Burn through Crow, Collins and Coleman to get through Jackson, Boesch and Cabrera.
