New Mexico sounds weird, but it's a growing state with big-time basketball already on board (which shows the AD can commit to sports).

Keeps the "geographical continuity." Adds TV sets (BYU and New Mexico) and some national fanbase (BYU).

I also could see them sticking with just BYU.
I agree as well, not to mention New Mexico adds another state to the BCS wagon in congress. Basically I see those 3 schools put into the South Division with OU and OSU being moved to the North.
