I try, I really do. I admit that I will fail on occasion, but I really do try to give Pinkel a wide berth.

He annoys me fairly frequently, but he's built this program; it's his. The recruits are his, the staff is his - when we win, it's because of Gary Pinkel.

Do I wish he'd install a short yardage package? Sure - but the man's built a consistent winner and a team that's capable of having some excellent years along the way. He's also a standup individual that's active in the community. For a university that survived Quin Snyder, that's a HUGE deal.

He's a top 20 coach in college football, IMO. I'll live with his quirks.

Afterall - he could be Turner Gill.
