Happy? Oh hell no. Nationally we got some egg on our face. In the conference we lost some credibility. And ultimately we'd have still been better off in the B10.
But could it have been worse? Much much
much worse. We could've ended up in the Big East traveling to VT. We could've ended up in the MWC (ugh). We could've ended up homeless.
Alden sucks and sucks hard, but ultimately he lucked into only marginal damage.
I'd still love to see Cincy and Louisville come on board, I hate the idea of a 10 team league and the annual ass-raping we'll get from OU/TX. At least with the divisional format we'd still get a crack at the B12 championship game a lot of years.
Eh, it's a bit of a relief, but I'm still irritated.
