you might be right. I'm relying on secondhand information saying that once they get under 6 teams, the Big 12 is dead.

Also, I doubt that the left behind schools stay under the big 12 banner just to collect some extra money for 2 years. If the conference is dead, everyone will bail quickly, MWC, Big East, whatever everyone will have "left".
