In hindsight, the Chargers could use some more defensive talent. Riley is a solid player who will contribute on special teams and will be a fierce tackler and defender, but he's not the flashiest. Franks has great potential but needs time and coaching. His rookie season won't be that great.
Overall, I see my Chargers draft so far as stocking up for the future when more veterans are lost to free agency and retirement. This will help them continue to be competitive and tough.
