I dunno, from an outsider's perspective, if you're gonna rip the whole thing up and rebuild, then why not make that trade? If Roth was a 2nd and is a solid player, and they get in addition to him a 2nd and a 5th in picks, that's a decent deal. Bowe's a good WR--I mean, he did average around 1000 yards over two seasons--but it's not like he's Randy Moss or Terrell Owens in his prime. Of course, I think that trade would be a clear signal that they've officially given up on this season and are just in fire-sale draft-pick-stockpiling rebuilding mode, and that they're just gonna spend the year letting Cassel run around and get used to the offense while the team loses. But if you're only gonna win 2 to 4 games anyway...

They'd certainly take a huge PR hit and probably end up dealing with empty seats and disgruntled fans, but sometimes you really gotta tear it all down if you're gonna rebuild it...
