McDaniels, 32, joined the Patriots in 2001. And the fact that he has spent eight years working with the Patriots and V.P. of player personnel Scott Pioli could make McDaniels an obvious fit for the coaching gig, if Pioli becomes the G.M.

When I caught wind of the news that the Broncos have hired Josh McDaniels as head coach I didn't know what to think. On the one hand, there's been plenty of speculation that the Chiefs #1 candidate, Scott Pioli, wanted to bring along his offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
