That can be a very hard job.
My Father was in the hospital a few months ago to have hip replacement surgery. He has Aluzhimers and I would sit with him during the day. Every five minutes he would try to pull out his IV. Then he would try to get out of bed. Then he would ask me where he was. Then he would ask me why he was in the hospital. Then he would repeat all of this over and over again. After about four hours of this I wanted to put a pillow over his head.
