And sometimes, they end up having no position in college. Greg Hinds was a godlike player in high school, highly touted by the likes of Lemming, and a Parade 2nd Team All-American, but he never found a position in college until a brief (due to the end of his eligibility) experiment as a fullback -- and that was on the Memphis roster, so it's not like he was going up against all of the talent in the world.
A high school, defensive version of Tim Tebow, if you will.
