Is it just me or did Pete Carroll come off like a total asshole in his comments about Sanchez leaving? I can't find the full quote yet but he made it clear that he thought it was a terrible decision and Sanchez is not ready. I am usually a fan of Carroll and as someone who lives in L.A. (although not a USC fan) I think he is a great ambassador for college football who carries himself with a lot of class.
What's with his complete lack of support?? Any USC fans wanna enlighten me?

After listening to the local radio, and reading some of the USC sites, I just think that Pete felt so strongly that Mark was making a mistake that he couldn't help letting his feelings show.
Granted, Pete is the coach, should be above all of that, but there it is. He's always been a passionate guy and this was a prime example of it.
There have been a few USC guys who have declared early, some have worked out (Lofa Tatupu, Reggie Bush, Chilo Rachal, Deuce Lutui) some haven't (Mike Williams, Darnell Bing, Manny Wright), so maybe he had those guys in mind.
In the end, I think Pete does have Mark's best interests at heart. I think he put it best in one interview I read: "It's like a family member, you're not going to stop loving him just because he makes a bad choice."
