Here is the article on ESPN.
"Edwards in limbo: Herm Edwards was at work Friday in Kansas City attending a personnel meeting. While the organization awaits word on whether Scott Pioli is in or out as the general manager, Edwards remains the Chiefs' head coach. Owner Clark Hunt would like to find a scenario to keep him, but he might lose that chance depending on the general manager he hires. The longer the Chiefs go without any kind of announcement that Pioli is hired, the chances increase that he might just stay in New England.
Anyone hear this?

It seems like an after thought while he was talking about Herm twisting in the wind. Sounds like it is a guess and that he is not giving out info.

I'm not sure it is about money. Shanny was making $7M, so a GM ought to make more than the coach. I think Clark will have an adequate pay scale.
Relax: Clark said he wanted to interview several guys, and maybe he is doing that? We have no info about what he has done. Even the Pioli interview was a rumor. Let's relax and allow him time to do his job.
Now, if the Chiefs really did offer him a contract and it is taking this long for him to decide, then that is bad news. I'm on the Pioli bandwagon coz many football people have described him as the top choice.
But, there are other great choices out there. If Clark hires one of them I'll be okay. Hopefully, he will not hire a misfit (because he is cheap) who would keep Herm. In fact a test to determine if the new GM is qualified is what he does with Herm. So far I've like what I've heard from him. I'll impatiently wait for him.
