I agree that that was a bad break. However, I don't see it as being in the same league as the call on Sunday. The play you're referring to happened early in the 3rd quarter, so while it was a bad call, the play was overturned on replay and the Broncos were awarded possession. However, no matter how that play would have turned out, there were still 30 minutes of the game to play.
If Sunday's call had been correct, it would have been a "walk off" situation. The game was completely over at that point, unless of course you think it's likely that the Chargers would have fumbled on a kneel down. THAT is the reason this is getting so much attention. The screwed up call DIRECTLY changed the outcome of the game.
The play you're referring to may have influenced the outcome, but you never know what would have happened if the TD was allowed. The Bears might have been pissed off about it and ended up coming back to win anyway. We'll never know how that play INDIRECTLY affected the outcome of the game, so the outrage isn't near as strong.
