- Don't always be available...have other things or plans going on. Do your own thing no matter how much you like her. Don't just drop everything all the time for her. Girls hate doormats.
- Remember that if things don't work out or you don't get a date...there's always 3 billion girls left in this great world.

Great stuff... It was hard for me to get past some of the rookie mistakes, as I'm sure it is with a lot of people. It was far too easy for me to say I didn't have a chance than to try at all, and then when I got one I'd think it was better to let her choose where to go, etc; and would always make myself available.
The first time I threw all of that out the window, I ended up dating a girl who was way out of my league. Being confident, assertive and decisive, and a little bit of an asshole, all go a long way....
I know a lot of the stuff in this thread is just joking around and pulling strings, but if you're serious about meeting a girl, you should really concentrate on those 10 things.
