I read the first page of this thread, didn't read anything more. The Shawnee BBQ will be pretty much over by the time you get there. Not to burst any bubbles, but you might catch some judging results and then see people drive their BBQ rigs out of Old Shawnee Town. Our team will pop a few and hang around for a while, but we're slackers and don't want to fight the traffic.
If you really want to enjoy the BBQ, go on Friday afternoon/evening. Hungover football is the bestest.
