I switched careers because sports wasn't nearly as fun when it was a career - plus the pay sucked and the hours were even worse.
I'm working as a 5th grade teacher now and love it far more than anything I did at NFL Films or any other writing assignment I had.
I had the chance to interview for a NFL editor job at NBC Sports last October. I turned it down to stick with teaching.
