Okay, so I'm not really tired. I started looking through some files and found one that I store some poems in. Here's one from my "church days".
New Year's Resolution
12/30/1997
Eating right, losing weight,
saving money, spending less,
quitting a habit that's not so good,
standing tall above the rest...
Different poeple need different things
to make their dreams come true.
The more I think of what I need,
the more I think of you.
Earthly treasures are just that.
We won't need them when we go.
The only thing I need is you.
That's the one thing that I know.
Of everything I try to do
to be happy this year,
I'll get the most contentment
in knowing you are near.
I long to have you with me,
so I continue to pray
that I'll grow closer still to you
each and every day.
