That seems very odd to me. I have gone diving with sharks numerous times and there is no reason anyone would step on anything while diving-you are supposed to stay off the bottom unless it is sand and I'm pretty sure that urchins cling to coral and rocks. Weird.

I didn't go diving..I went snorkeling on my own with flippers and a mask right off shore..so I was all by my lonesome..
