1) MU will be running an entirely different offensive system (if you can call Quin's offense a system)
2) One of the reasons the offense sucked last year was that the other players started expecting Gardner to take all the shots after the kU game and stopped moving off the ball. Then again, movement off the ball was never a strength of a Quin Snyder team
3) The team will be counting on scoring from Keon Lawrence more than any other incoming player. The JUCOs aren't seen as big scorers.
4) Hannah gives them at worst another competant point guard in the rotation, at best an upgrade over Horton in the starting lineup.
5) Butterfield and Volkus will be asked to be role players - play defense, run the floor, fill the lane - not big scorers.
Anderson's system doesn't require superstars ... it requires hard work, tough D and a deep bench. He's building that. And I think he did pretty damn well, considering how late he got the job and entered the fray.
