I don't know if it would be a good thing or a bad thing. However, I think with 4 divisions, it sucks when one division has so many good teams. For instance, it is possible that the Chiefs and Patriots could finish with the same record. Strong/weak conferences/divisions change over time. If you are good enough to win the SB, it doesn't really matter what division you are from.
