Not really a big deal at all. If pointing out hilariously illogical immersion breaking full reerun decisions in a story being touted as "one of the best stories ever told" is what you consider taking things too seriously you need to lighten up as well.
Poking fun at one of the folks trumpeting this nonsense as great writing by pointing out a few examples of the worst writing weve ever seen, and the doing a bit of admitted trolling by treating his hilarious defenses of said decisions as a non response, isn't really anything to wring your hands over. Its pretty standard CP fare.
However, there appears to be an ever increasing number of CP posters who cannot process a post more than three sentences long, and in this sect is where you'll find the largest number of supporters of this show/game, because it appears to be too much to ask to think about what you've just seen, and reason out if it actually makes sense or not.
Like if you're just full on washing Neil Druckmann's balls, then there's really no hope to get any type of common ground.
The show did change one of the most egregious decisions made by a couple of characters in the game, and provided a bit more information about others much earlier, so there has been at least some form of forced logic in the creation of the show.
Like, hey Neil, this was really unfathomably stupid how this went down in the game, let's go ahead and give this part the ol rewrite.
If they continue to do this with more of the mind numbingly stupid things that happen, the the show still has a chance to be better than the game was.
The issue the show has now, is you've still just shit on the main character out of left field, and now your story has to be carried by an honestly miscast actress.
Funny enough, the actress cast as Abby is literally the perfect choice to be playing a 19 year old Ellie.
