The Jets just played incredibly well in that game.

It wasn't a game where I thought the Blues ran out of gas. I didn't think they were flat. The energy and speed was fine. They just weren't terribly sharp with their outlet passes (lots into the skates) and weren't as decisive as they could've been on offense. Passed up some looks that I don't think they should've.

And on the flipside, Winnipeg was just nails. They were ALWAYS where they needed to be. Always in control. If the Blues got the offensive zone, they were immediately greeted by clogged passing lanes and guys square to the shooter. When they went into the corners to dig out a loose puck -- energy was there...but there was a Jet standing there waiting for it to chip it out.

The Jets played as well as they can, IMO. They played a damn near perfect hockey game. And the Blues still had two chances to seize momentum and failed. STL played maybe a C+/B- game.

Just one of those nights where you didn't really play poorly, the other team just played extremely well and you didn't rise to their level.

Onto game 6.
