The financial penalties on a team are usually appropriate when you have a sort of 'vicarious liability' situation. The team didn't technically do anything wrong -- but he was their employee and it was information they provided to him. So they have to eat a little bit of shit.
And honestly, if that's the extent of the blowback Ulbrich gets for it, he should consider himself lucky. There's still a non-zero chance he gets fired for it.
Sure, it was his idiot son. But man, if I had the names/numbers of a bunch of player agents (ESPECIALLY if I had teenage children) you'd bet your ass I'd keep that stuff under lock and key.
(was still funny, though. And to all those weeping over poor Shadeur, that's the exact kind of crap that clout-chasing asswipe would pull on someone else if he had a chance)

These days it's pretty standard security practice for most companies to have devices lock after a few minutes, periodic passcode changes, etc. My personal iPhone I have to have a PIN whether I want it or not. Only required, of course, if I am connecting to our company email/Teams from my phone. But I'd be hampered in my ability to stay connected if I declined to do this.
