Guys...y'all get too hung up on these penalties. Guy was responsible for about 6 penalty yards per game last year. he had 115 penalty yards against in 19 games.
Do that again next year and otherwise be a plus pass protector and I will give exactly ZERO shits about the penalties.
Cut those down to nothing but become a less effective pass protector and THEN I'll talk about benching you.
We just put WAY too much weight on the penalties. Y'all act like he was penalized 2-3 times/gm every single game. He had 8 games last year where he wasn't penalized (same number of regular season games as where he was). The narrative with the guy has just gone WAY overboard.

The Geoff Schwartz (or Mitchell? Don't remember) bit about his leaning back creating a larger gap for Trey Smith to clog up and thus causing him to make more mistakes in protection is something I'm more concerned about with Taylor than the penalties.
I have no clue if Schwartz is actually right about that. It just seems like the right side of the line had way more problems this year than it did the previous season.
Also, yeah, I've been saying ever since Collinsworth flapped his vagina in the Detroit game that I don't give a shit about penalties. Especially little 5-yard ****ers.
