It's not a bad spot for him. I mean, Watson isn't going to be the starter, that's almost a certainty. So, Shadeur has to sit behind Flacco for a year, no more than that. I doubt Pickett or Gabriel will be able to stay ahead of him in the order for very long. And he'll have the benefit of a solid top-10 defense and a stable HC situation with some credible weapons at his disposal. He just has to bear down and learn the offense and learn some humility for a season.
also, as an aside, I don't see him having a weak arm. He doesn't have a cannon, but I watched maybe 5-6 games of his while he was at CO and he threw some 40-50 yd bombs with good accuracy in there. More than enough arm to play in the NFL, if guys like Tua, cousins, hurts, Goff, Lawrence, Dak and Purdy are any examples.
