I don't think he's much of a gamble at all because his floor still seems to be a guy with a valuable NFL skill.
The 'gamble' is opportunity cost. You may have passed on some guys with a greater chance of being a 3-down DT. But they also do have as loud a single NFL skill set.
Those guys actually have lower floors than ONL. I think ONL actually has a decent floor because I think he's absolutely an NFL player, even if it's only as a rotational interior rusher.
Need I remind anyone what Wharton just got betting ' only' exactly that?
