Joey Wiemer might be dead. He has no stats in 2025 at all. I think he died, or just retired. In any event his career has come to a bizarre end. He isn't an option.
That doesn't mean that letting Nick Loftin have an at-bat would be the most egregious tactic of baseball in all of history. You can't score less than zero runs, a mathematician might point out.
