The main reason I am attempting to save it is that I have several new sets of ink cartridges that I spent a lot of money on. It's old, it's a dinosaur, yet it prints on both sides, scans and does faxes. After messing around with it for a while, I discovered that the printer has multiple timing strips, these strips are used by the printer to setup the position of all parts of the printer. When I first put it back together, I missed the sensor for the carriage position.
So, super glued the broken gear, cleaned up the ink pads and I'm back in business. The WIFI doesn't work because of changes made to how channels are handled so I just plugged it into my switch connected to the router and I can print from anywhere.
Now, why won't that old Honda tiller start?
