I was there when the Cruziero was crashing and reach 220,000-240,000 Cruziero per 1 US dollar. While I was there they changed the money to Cruzados and devalued their money by 1,000 times. It was now 240 Cruzados per 1 US dollar.

I took 2 women and a guy from Brooklyn I met to dinner. We had steaks, veal, appetizers, bottles of wine, vegetables, breads, desserts, more drinks and the whole bill with tip came to just over $40.
