Kings and Lords don't drive.
Went out with my German In Laws in Frankfurt. He is a control freak. He always has to drive, which he sucks at...a 2 footed driver....stop/start/stop/start...both stop and start are on full pedal.
I chose to sit in the back, right side (I will come back to that). He, of course drove. See Rainman really good driver.
The next morning, at breakfast, I understood enough to know what they were talking about. He asked me why I didn't want to drive and sit in the back seat? Deadpanned, "Kings and Lords don't drive". They all laughed except for him.
That night as we went to dinner, Mom drove, Dad sat next to me in the back seat

He still couldn't help himself as to being a backseat driver.
Why I stated on the right side? Because I can't hear out of my left ear. My wife is my chauffer and darn good at it. She has that compass in her head gift. We drive a lot in strange places, and better than I at that skill. Additionally, in the right front seat, all I hear is wind noise from the window. As she, at times, won't shut up, I time my responses of 3 yeses, pause, a coupla noes, followed by a few more yesses.
I am the King. I can read, nap, or anything else. She is my serf.
Also, she hates my Cadillac CTS-V and my Pontiac Solstice GXP. I drive them to have fun. Not mundane. She is always grabbing the door handle, which I find amusing.
