If China launches and hits KC with their Dong-Feng 5 ICBM... the fallout would reach out almost to Kearney but not Excelsior Springs. I'm past both those so I would probably be ok, at first.

Same thing with the Russian Topol (SS-25)... wouldn't reach me where I live.

While I would probably die from fallout anyway... I wouldn't die before getting to watch Wichita burn.
