It's not terribly dissimilar from the books - pretty mindless entertainment.
I started reading the books in whatever order they were available from the e-library in Columbia. If it was available to check out, I went ahead and checked it out.
And nothing of value was lost. There's no throughput of any import. There's nothing serial about them. They're mostly self-contained stories with very few characters that surface multiple times or themes that are critically important from one book to the next.
Reacher is big. He beats people up. He solves mysteries. He gets the bad guy.
One book is the same as the next. And the show isn't much different in that regard. Character development isn't exactly a thing.
If that's not gonna be up your alley, don't bother.
