I guess I don't see the big worry that his bat will be made out of swiss cheese. He's not not a swing and miss power guy but he should not be ANYWHERE near Gallo.
Last year in the SEC he had one of the lower K rates of the conference leaders in OPS. This is after cutting it almost in half from the following year.
His strike out rate was around 20% last year in his first year ever of using a wooden bat and actually was on the lower end of everyone on the Quad Cities team. Compare that to Blake Mitchell who K'd 35%, Nivens 27% and Jensen at 22%. Alex Gordon also had a 20% Milb strikeout rate so not worried about the swing and miss.
